![]() ![]() The results were amazing to say the least! "Side grinding" can be dangerous. I adjusted the angle my way and proceeded to sharpen the TRO bit. ![]() Then, I notice that a a 59* angle the bit would not make full contact with the wheel. Well, I mounted my jig where the drill bit touches the face of the wheel. Funny how with the Foley Belsaw 1055 Sharp All, the drill bit jig is set to grind off the side of a grinding wheel. ![]() However, in a sharpening catalog put out by Foley Belsaw a manufacture put in print that "one should never grind on the side of the wheel", such as I have been doing. ![]() These drill bit jigs are "suppose" to be mounted on the side of the grinding wheel. Did I really want to take a chance and mess that bit up? Well, I took the jig and mounted it where it faces the front of the grinding wheel. I have a TRO, half inch drll bit that I wanted to try on the Homecraft 11-120 and so, I tried it but, it wasn't a sharp bit what-so-ever. The instructions that came with the Grizzly were somewhat better. The instructions that came with the Foley Belsaw jig were vague at best. Well, sometime shortly thereafter I bought one made by Grizzly. I had a Foley Belsaw drill bit sharpening jig and it broke. ![]()
